The Trattoria alla Passeggiata is located along the bank of the Mincio, 3 km from the Peschiera del Garda motorway exit, on the road that leads to Valeggio sul Mincio. The place was born in ancient times as a refreshment and entertainment point for the people of the surroundings who met in this tavern to eat a bite and listen to the "vertical" (ancient juke-box).
Today it is a welcoming trattoria run by the Mischi brothers, with a banquet and group room, a more intimate room and, in the summer, with a large terrace scented with lime trees.
The generous cuisine of Franca and Vittorio offers authenticity and tradition: the appetizer of homemade cured meats and pickles, pike with polenta, fried brie and, in the autumn season, polenta with mushrooms. Fresh eggs and flour are the main ingredients of the dough for the preparation of tagliatelle or pappardelle with hare or duck sauce and, in winter, also with livers or pasta and beans. From the same ingredients comes the thin pastry of the Love Knot, with the typical filling of meat and tortellini served with ricotta and herbs. The base of the main courses is the large central fireplace, where exquisite Florentine, cut, veal knots, etc. alternate on the embers. In winter you can also find cod, tripe, boiled meat with “pearà” and baked rabbit. The desserts are all homemade: jam tarts, nougat parfait and the traditional cake of roses.
